This is what the children wants
and the Dimmalimm Icelandic Illustrators’ Award
18 January - 15 March 2010
The value and importance of illustrations in children’s books has received increased attention in recent years. A good narrative gains immensely from the subtle interplay of text and picture. In 2002 it was decided to hold an exhibition of the illustrations in recent children’s books and to present an award for the best illustration. This award, named Dimmalimm after a classic Icelandic children’s book, has been presented every year since then.
