The couple Dagga and Maggi started painting three years ago; the occasion was a family gathering at which everyone was asked to turn up with a work of art of some sort.  They decided to try their hands at painting; since then they have attended a few courses.  Painting is now their main interest, together with travelling in Iceland, an activity which has given them most of the material for their paintings.
Magnús Hannibal Traustason was born in 1954 in Djúpavík á Ströndum.  He now works as a turner.  Dagbjört Matthíasdóttir was born in 1952 in Kópavogur and works as a bookkeeper. This exhibition, in the Boginn exhibition area in Gerðuberg, is the couple’s second.
