When it comes to choosing our clothes and our home furnishings and decorations, we favour colours that we find attractive and comfortable. The same applies to artists, who are generally guided by insight rather than a conscious approach to colour symbolism. But what effects do colours have on us? What do they signify? Messiana Tómasdóttir attempts to tackle these questions during a one-evening introduction to colour theory under the title The magic of colour.
